Remember back in the old days when I was watching Ruby, and I talked about the episode when she gets rid of her "big chair" because she can fit in a "normal chair"? I talked about going to a smaller bed and having more room in my room. I had a full at the time. When the box spring broke during the move, I ended up with a queen, which was in new condition, at an amazingly low price. Yesterday I sold that bed (for 50% more than I paid for it) and moved Cay's bed (since Cay is moving on campus) into my room, and am now sleeping on a twin... comfortably.
NSV: the other day I had a backache, and asked Cay to do a shoulder rub to help my mobility. Kneading my shoulders she suddenly exclaimed, "Ug, mom. You feel so BONEY." No, I'm not boney (as the graph above will testify to) but it's another stage of the "mom, you've got BONES!" saga.
My love/hate relationship with The Biggest Loser continues. This season my hate relates to two things: the use of celebs on the show (an American Idol winner and an Olympic Weight Lifter) and the failure to have older people on the show (the oldest contestant is in their early 40s, with most of the contestants being between mid-20s and early 30s) This season the demographic choices for the show are SO transparent, that I have to shake my head. That said, I still found a couple contestants I can relate to, and will probably be jonesing for the first episode by the time it rolls around on October 8th. (Go Marie! Go Tumi! )
