I rolled out of bed, sore, tired and a little swollen at 6:00 am when the alarm clock went off. Doesn't sound so fabulous yet? The idea was to get in a workout at Curves and some treadmill time before the recognition luncheon at noon. I've got too options for my attire for the luncheon: my plaid skirt, a white blouse or my burgundy nylon tank with my black cardigan (what I wore my "Cinderella" night of the Oscars when I was left in the ashes, but looked pretty good) OR I can wear my spanish colonial costume. Cay wants to go in costume. I'm only thinking about dropping food on that white blouse and ruining it.
... I know the scale ISN'T supposed to make your mood for the day, but I stepped on it and it read 212.0lbs... which is a substantial loss this week. I've been sticking to my food and exercise plan very closely, and it paid off. My only concern is what this dinner will do!
So I know that some of these places just give you too much food, and we had two options to choose from: Surf and turf or a vegetarian plate. What we did was Cay ordered veggies and I the surf turf, and we'll split the plates. She's getting the shrimp and some of the veggies, I'm getting the steak and some of the veggies, and I'm sure there will be some sort of starch on the plates (rice or potatoes) which Cay can chose from but I will eschew. I'm really looking forward to this dinner, for me it's the social event of the year.
Today I'm feeling tired, sore, but pretty darn fabulous! I'm not letting yesterdays "failure" bring me down.
and after all, you can't always find a big a&& coat when you're popping tags... ...but I can find any excuse to post this song again...
