That's up .6 lbs from yesterday, but I'm counting it as a loss for two reasons: First, after driving all day yesterday edema is a real problem. The second reason is TMI for this blog.
So today is Super Bowl Sunday, and I'll be watching... not because I'm terribly fond of either of the teams (since I can't get the Buffalo games in my area, I haven't seen a regular season game in years)... but because of the commercials and the halftime show.
And like half of America, this is a party day for me, and will involve snack foods and a lot of couch time.
Last night I went out and picked up cheese. Today I'll be getting pepperoni or another dry sausage, lentil crackers, and hummus.
It's a far cry from the old staples of pizza and wings, which used to be mandatory in my family, not just for Super Bowl (which also would involve all manner of sweets) but for every game day.
Today was scheduled as a stress free day. We have a meeting and education program at church, and I'm trying to decide whether I'm going to consider that "relaxing" or "obligatory". Today I'm struggling NOT to do anything I deem obligatory after all the stressful activity of the last few days... and the lack of sleep.
If I feel it's obligatory, I absolutely won't go. I'm also struggling with NOT doing some of my son's banking, which can wait until tomorrow.
Everyone needs a day off now and then.
I've set today aside for rest and relaxation. I'm going to rest and relax.
