So, I'm down about 4 lbs already from yesterday's weigh in. Of course, I know it's all the inflammation and water retention going down. Why didn't I just wait until today for my weigh in?
Yesterday Cay and I did a quick walk in the bosque. A quick walk is only two hours long. I was just glad to have some fresh air... pain free. She was just glad to see the great horned owl which is nesting there.
Cardiology appointment today. Got up early to get all my food and pills in the right timing. I think the stress test isn't getting on the treadmill with all the wires hooked up to me, I think the stress is in getting ready to go to this thing.
So I sent my son a phone card. He should have gotten it yesterday. He did not call me. But his wife did, mostly to contradict everything she'd texted me a few days earlier. Apparently she now thinks if she divorces my son, she'll get her son from CYFD and move in with her mother. At least that's what her mother is telling her. Sadly, her mother already told me months ago that she wanted the to raise my grandson herself, since her daughter was taken from her by CYFD and she hadn't raised a child, and spent most of her adult life in prison. Her plan? Get my son out of the house, put my daughter-in-law back in jail... Wait... WHERE did I say my stress was coming from?
Oh, and this morning I read in Scientific American that stress is linked to aging. I'd been willing to attribute my increasing grays and wrinkles to my chronological age. Maybe it's my kids.
I am SO ready to move to Santa Fe.
It's going to be up near 70° today. Cay is wearing one of her spring/summer dresses. But right now it's still 35°, and she's gonna need a jacket.
One of the things about Santa Fe is that even though it's only about 60 miles from Albuquerque, it's generally about 10° colder, due to the altitude in part. That's great during the summer. During the winter, not so much. They also get a lot more snow (we've seen a dusting where we live).
Ironically, Tay, who's moving south to Los Cruces, is the one who likes the snow. It's about 10-20° warmer in Las Cruces compared to Albuquerque.

And besides the temperature, Tay is not terribly happy with the local mountains, which she calls "the Creepy Mountains". They are kinda creepy looking.
