Today I was with my lawyers, signing my estate and healthcare planning documents, and my endo called (well, the secretary in the office) to schedule my appointment quicker than the March appointment that had been planned. Later in the evening the endo called herself, and told me that she never got the message about the problems I'd had with Acarbose, and thought that it might have worked for me (even though the other, similar case she used Acarbose on had not worked out either). So now here's the process. I'm trying out another drug, kinda to see how things go before the next step of going to Mayo and/or getting my 24 hour monitor. It's my understanding that the other person who has a similar issue also had no luck with this medication either.
Yes, I will try it, just to go through the motions. And maybe have a little hope for it. But mostly just going through the motions until we can get something approved that has some sort of decent shot at working.
Took out a payday advance, got dish soap, bar soap, and bread. Tomorrow I'll do some light grocery shopping after training. The pressure is off for now.
And I'm actually kinda looking forward to taking the train in to Santa Fe on Friday for open house at the university.
A little hope goes a long way, and it's nice to know now that there's a fire under these doctors and things are happening. They may not be what I would like to see happen, but at least we're moving forward.
