WOW! a lot has changed in the last 20 hours.
Cay has been accepted to her college of choice. We're off to Santa Fe today for the open house, but mostly now to do her financial aid. I'm actually off at 5:30 this morning, because when I went shopping Tay didn't tell me she was out of the things young ladies need, so I'm off to the store before hopping the early train with Cay.
Yesterday I didn't get out at all except in the morning, which I ended up taking off training, as my endo had supposedly sent in a new prescription for a different medication she wanted me to try before sending referrals to the insurance company for a second opinion at a different hospital (Mayo). Then there was an hours long drama over whether or not the script had been sent, why it wasn't in the computer, and when I was going to get it, because it wasn't carried in the pharmacy. I still have no answers, but I'm not going to worry about it too much until after I get back from my trip.
I had planned to go shopping after training, but there was a situation with Zoo to You that required my attention, and I ended up staying at the zoo until well after closing, then continuing the work from home.
I was supposed to start my food and blood sugar journal today, but forgot to take my reading before grabbing something to eat this morning. I'll just take it from here.
So it seems there were a whole lot of things I was "supposed" to do, or "planned" to do, but life just got in the way. I'm ok with that, because right now this is a good kind of frantic.
Once I get the shopping done and get down to the train station, I can relax for the hour and a half trip to Santa Fe. I'm kinda looking forward to that part. And who knows, with all the good things happening for my kids, we might even get some video of me doing the happy dance on the train.
Congrats to your daughter for getting into her college. And have fun on the trip!
